Knox Road Vineyard
We are a family-owned vineyard located at the east end of the Yakima Valley AVA and 5 miles west of Red Mountain in Benton City. We specialize in premium Rhône varietals grown with a focus on quality, sustainability, and expression of place. Our focus is on single-cluster and low-yield farming, as well as working with the Benton County Conservation District to incorporate native plants and ground cover throughout the vineyard.
We have cultivated a portfolio of Rhône grapes, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, Counoise and Cinsault, with new vines being planted in 2025 to include Grenache Blanc, Picpoul, Marsanne and Roussanne. Our vineyard's terroir is marked by rocky soil, cool nights, and hot days, with a site elevation ranging from 850 ft at the north end to 775 ft at the south end. This allows us to produce fruit with excellent balance, concentration, and character, and with no previous fruit crops, we have Registered Vineyard Block status for certified clean plant material.
